Mr. Earl W. Marsman, Sr., age 72, of Ada, passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 9, 2010. He was a 1956 graduate of Lowell High School where he and his sweetheart Joanne Kaufield were voted class couple. They were married on June 27, 1958. At age nine Earl accepted Christ as his personal Saviour in Tucson, AZ. He worked at various jobs, and then worked for Tubergen for 20 years. In 1976 Earl started his own business, Marsman Sharpening Service which his son now operates. In 1991 he was baptized and joined Northland Baptist Church. Earl maintained a pristine yard and had a huge garden with plenty of produce for canning. He and his family enjoyed camping in every season of the year. Earl is survived by his loving wife of over 52 years, Joanne; children, Elaine (Ray) Donley of Belmont, Earl W. Marsman, Jr. of Ada, and Kathy (Karl) Wiltse of Lowell; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Marilyn Rowan; and nieces and nephews. The Service of Praise and Thanksgiving for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ for Mr. Marsman will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Northland Baptist Church with Pastor David Cvctich officiating. Interment in Findley Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Pederson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
