Mrs. Jackie (Hindman) Klinesteker, age 49, of Rockford,passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010. She grew up in Grand Rapids and was a 1979 graduate of West Catholic High School where she was in the National Honor Society and played in the marching band and the jazz band. Jackie was a graduate of MSU with a Masters Degree in Social Work. She was a social worker at Hope Network from 1985 until December of 1990. Since then she worked for Network180 where she designed and implemented services to support our community, especially children. Jackie enjoyed cooking, traveling, football games (Go State!), beading, and boating. She and Bill enjoyed boating on their 1938 Chris Craft which Jackie named “HydroTherapy.” Together, she and Bill were members of the Antique and Classic Boat Society. Jackie is survived by the love of her life, Bill; daughter, Katie (David) DeWeese of Standale; mother, Mrs. Thelma Hindman of Rockford; brother, Mike (Lisa) Hindman of Rockford and their children, Morgan and Hayden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dr. Robert and Virginia Klinesteker and their family; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends and colleagues; and her very good dog, Murphy. Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Jim Hindman, her daughter, Jessica, and her grandparents. The service for Mrs. Klinesteker will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Rockford United Methodist Church with Rev. Dick Riley officiating. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Humane Society of Kent County, 3077 Wilson NW, Walker, MI 49544 or Hospice of Michigan, 989 Spaulding Ave., SE, Ada, MI 49301. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Pederson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
