Mrs. Thelma "Shorty" Golaher, age 104, one of the senior members of the Rockford Community passed away on Wednesday morning, August 4, 2010, at her home. Her parents, Robert and Anna (nee Wallace) Haffey were early settlers in Rockford, farming their land on Shaner Avenue in Courtland Twp. If one could imagine, Mrs. Golaher lived though WWI, the Great Depression, WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, countless Presidents and modernization of our country. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Kenneth "Stub" Golaher, two brothers and five sisters; a niece, Therma Kleersynder; and nephew, Robert Hall. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews and their families.
