Mrs. Thelma Boom

I'll always remember her as "Grandma" not Thelma Boom as she was officially called. Her love and acceptance was the reason why I felt at home at Calvary Assembly. She stopped me as soon as I entered that first day and insisted on a hug - and when I tried to pull away after a quick embrace, she held onto me even tighter, like she really wanted me to know that I was loved and cherished. She was the bright ray of sunshine in our body I will greatly miss her presence there.

I knew Grandma for almost two years before I knew her name was Thelma. She wanted to be known as Grandma to all of us at Calvary Assembly of God. Her smile and hugs will be greatly missed. . There's
just no way that you couldn't miss her. Every Sunday as you walked by the ktchen door you'd hear, "Hey, where's my hug" We all loved it. It didn't matter if you knew her or not, she was talking to you.

For quite some time if you asked her how she was doing she'd reply in a sponky way. I'm tired. Grandma isn't tired anymore. I think she is kiching up her heals with Jesus and all her friends.
